Terms of Service

What this service is

Tax Reclaim calculates dividend and interest withholding-tax recovery amounts and generates filing-ready forms, using rates and rules published by national tax authorities, the OECD and the ECB (see Sources).

We are not a tax adviser, a tax agent or a tax representative. We do not act for you before any tax authority and we do not file anything on your behalf. You sign and submit the forms yourself.

Your responsibility

The figures you enter, the countries you select and the residency information you provide are yours. We calculate and generate from what you tell us. Check the result, and the form, before you send anything to a tax authority.

Do not upload another person's broker statement or tax details unless you are entitled to act for them. Do not scrape, resell or redistribute our rate data or generated forms as a product of your own.

Our responsibility

We keep treaty rates, withholding rates and deadline data current for the countries we support. When we find an error in that reference data we correct it, and the correction applies to your next calculation. Corrections do not change forms you have already downloaded.

No tax advice

Nothing on this site or in any generated PDF is legal, financial or tax advice. If your situation involves an estate, a trust, a partnership, or an unusual cross-border arrangement, consult a qualified professional.

Plans and prices

The calculator is free to use. There are two paid plans: Essential at €9.99 per year and Pro at €29 per year. Both are billed annually in advance. There is no monthly option.

Prices are in euro and include any applicable VAT. The amount shown at checkout is the amount you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe, which collects your billing address and, optionally, a VAT identification number.

A campaign may offer a discount code or a free trial period. Where it does, the price and trial length shown at checkout apply to that purchase.

Renewal

A paid plan renews automatically for a further year on its renewal date, and every year after that, until you cancel. Your renewal date is shown on your billing page and in the receipt email we send after each payment.

We may change plan prices. A change takes effect for you only from your next renewal date, and you can cancel before that date to avoid it.

Cancellation

Cancel from your billing page, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not refund a part-used year except under the right of withdrawal below. If you cannot cancel in the portal, email support@taxreclaim.eu and we will do it for you.

Deleting your account also sets your subscription to cancel at the end of the current period. Restoring the account within the grace period does not undo that cancellation.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from a paid subscription without giving a reason. The period runs from the day the contract is concluded, which is the day your payment is confirmed.

There is no online withdrawal button. Withdrawal is exercised by email. Send an unequivocal statement that you are withdrawing to support@taxreclaim.eu before the 14 days end. Sending the message before the deadline is enough. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to.

At checkout you tick two separate boxes: one accepting a dated version of these terms, and one expressly asking us to make the paid service available immediately, inside the withdrawal period. Both are recorded against your purchase and repeated back to you in the receipt email. Because of the second one:

• if you withdraw, you owe a proportionate amount for the part of the year already supplied when you told us, and
• you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed at your request.

We repay the rest within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same payment method you paid with. Refunds are issued by us by hand through Stripe; there is no self-service refund flow.

Withdrawal is not the same as cancellation. Cancelling stops the next renewal and refunds nothing.

Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or withdraw features. If we permanently withdraw a paid plan while you have paid for it, write to support@taxreclaim.eu and we will refund the unused part of the period.

Limitation of liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Subject to that, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for missed filing deadlines, for forms filed incorrectly, or for how a tax authority decides your claim.

Changes to these terms

These terms are version 2026-09-06. When you buy a subscription we record which version you accepted and when. If we change them we publish the new version on this page with a new version date. A change does not alter a period you have already paid for.

Complaints, governing law and disputes

If something goes wrong, write to support@taxreclaim.eu first. We would rather fix it than argue about it.

If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply to you, and nothing in these terms removes them. You may bring proceedings in any court that those rules make available to you.
