What we collect

Tax Return Buddy collects only the information you give us directly: the dividend or interest figures you enter into the calculator, the source and residence countries you select, and the email address you use to sign in. We do not connect to brokers, do not store broker credentials, and do not access your bank accounts.

How we use it

To compute your recoverable amount and generate the country-specific filing PDF you requested.
To send you the magic-link email that signs you in.
To process payment if you upgrade to Pro (handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
To meet our own legal record-keeping obligations.

Where it lives

Application data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security enabled — only you can read your own claims. Payment data is processed and stored by Stripe under its own privacy terms. Exchange rates and treaty rates we use are public reference data (ECB, OECD, national tax authorities) and contain no personal information.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can export every claim and every PDF we have generated for you from the Settings page, and you can delete your account at any time — both export and deletion are self-service and effective immediately. If you would prefer a manual request, write to privacy@taxreclaim.eu.
