No sign-in

Estimates withholding-tax reclaims for a payment or a whole dividend history, lists supported countries, and returns filing deadlines. Nothing is stored.

Your account

Sign-in required

Reads your plan and saved claims, previews new claims, saves them after you confirm, and shows your filing plan. You sign in with your Tax Reclaim email code and approve access on a Tax Reclaim consent screen.

Set it up

Claude (web, desktop, mobile)

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the URL → Connect, then sign in and click Allow.

ChatGPT

Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → turn on Developer mode → Create → paste the URL → sign in and click Allow.

Menu names in ChatGPT change often; look for Connectors or Apps.

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, then open Settings → MCP and click Connect.

Other MCP clients

Use the URL with Streamable HTTP. The account connector uses OAuth with automatic client registration.

Snippets use the account URL, https://api.taxreclaim.eu/api/mcp/account. Use the calculator URL instead if you don't want to sign in.

What your assistant can and can't do

It can

  • Estimate a reclaim from the payment details you give it.
  • Check deadlines and supported countries.
  • Show your plan and saved claims.
  • Preview claims and save them once you say yes to the preview.

It can't

  • Sign a form, get your certificate of tax residence, or submit anything to a tax authority, bank or broker. You do that yourself.
  • Tell you whether to file.

Rules it follows

  • Withholding amounts must come from your broker's tax statement. Estimated amounts are shown for reference and are never saved.
  • If the source country of a payment can't be determined, nothing is calculated or saved for it. Enter it in the app instead.
  • Every save needs your explicit yes to a preview, and the same payments are never saved twice.
  • Saved claims count towards your plan's saved-claim limit.
  • Amounts are calculated by Tax Reclaim's servers, not by the AI.

Privacy

  • The assistant only sees what you share in the chat and, with the account connector, your Tax Reclaim plan and claims.
  • What you share with an AI assistant is handled by its provider under their terms.
  • To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant's settings. To revoke access completely, contact support.
